Battery – Yes, But Which One?
You’ve decided to harness the power of batteries for your solar system, a wise move! Now, let’s find a perfect match. There are three main battery types: Lead-Acid, Lithium, and Supercapacitors. However, Supercapacitors, due to unfavorable physical properties, are not recommended for solar energy storage.
Within Lead-Acid batteries, there are various options, and we predominantly recommend Gel batteries to our customers. Why Gel batteries for solar? These batteries offer deep discharge tolerance, low maintenance, a good cycle life, stability in moderate temperatures, safety with minimal risk of leakage, and resistance to vibrations. These qualities make Gel batteries the ideal choice for solar systems dealing with varying energy production and diverse climate conditions.
120A/12V GEL Batteries
Due to the aforementioned reasons, particularly for their longevity and ease of handling, we have chosen the 120A/12V GEL variant for our OEM distribution.For the realm of Li-ion batteries, we offer both our proprietary products and various offerings from renowned manufacturers (Deye, Huawei, Sunray).

The choice between Li batteries and Gel batteries depends on factors such as system size, budget, cycling requirements, and the overall objectives of the solar PV system. For long-term profitability and performance in larger installations, Li batteries are often preferred despite the higher initial investment.
And what else should one pay attention to?
For the correct selection and proper deployment of the storage system, qualified consultation is essential. Too often, issues arise when the battery is incompatible with the inverter, a suitable charge controller is missing, or the battery is positioned on the roof (or another warm location). The result is a significantly shortened lifespan.
